Arzu is development editor at The Good Literary Agency as well as working as an editorial consultant for a wide range of clients.

Before joining TGLA Arzu was Publishing Director at Weidenfeld & Nicolson, and has over 25 years of experience in the industry, having previously worked at Bloomsbury, Vintage, Penguin Random House and Virago.

She has published many bestselling writers including Khaled Hosseini (The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns), Malala Yousafzai (I Am Malala), Tea Obreht (The Tiger’s Wife), Maria Semple (Where’d You Go, Bernadette), Nathan Englander (What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank, Dinner at the Centre of the Earth), Harriet Lane (Alys, Always, Her), Leila Aboulela (Lyrics Alley).

At TGLA Arzu uses her considerable experience and expertise to work with authors on editing and developing their work before submitting to publishers.
