Kemi is currently accepting submissions and primarily looking for literary & commercial fiction as well as YA fiction of all kinds. She will also be building a bespoke list of non-fiction.
Having acquired a BA in English Literature at UEA and an MA in Publishing at UCL, Kemi spent her formative years gaining experience at publishers including Bloomsbury, Simon & Schuster and Penguin Books. Kemi made the transition into Marketing & audience insight in 2014, gaining invaluable experience at organisations such as ITV Broadcast Media, Amazon subsidiary The Book Depository and Time Out Magazine, before settling at leading talent agency, Identity Agency Group (IAG).
Kemi is passionate about discovering new voices and looks forward to acquiring a broad range of outstanding writers from diverse backgrounds. She is particularly drawn to global stories that explore cultural and/or social issues, coming-of-age novels, Identity and (for YA) fantasy.

"I've been obsessed with books since I was seven, and a number of decades later I am still completely captured by my favourite form of escapism.
I love a large majority of genres, as long as it feels authentic and has emotional depth, following an engaging narrative that takes me on a journey. There are of course genres that I have a particular affinity for; these include global stories that explore culture and/or social or political issues, coming-of-age, thrillers, inspiring/uplifting stories, women's fiction and I can easily get lost in some YA fantasy.
Authors whose work I admire includes (but is not limited to) Khaled Hosseini, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Margaret Atwood, Chinua Achebe, Kelly Yang, Tomi Adeyemi, Chibundu Onuzo, Jodi Picoult, Malorie Blackman, Dorothy Koomson and Yann Martel.
When I am not reading, I'm either cooking some of my favourite dishes or running my passion project Gazelle London, a wellness stationery brand."
