Vean Ima

Vean Ima Torto is an African-Caribbean writer and poet from London who’s work focuses on womanhood, race and women’s empowerment. Her emotive words centre on healing, identity and self-acceptance, inspired by her own personal journey. Vean’s poetry has been commissioned by organisations including The London Ambulance Service B-ME network and women’s rights charity Forward U.K, she was also a featured poet at the University of Herts Festival of Ideas. Vean lives in West London with her husband and six children.
