Salina Kumbu

Salina Kumbu is part Shona, part Mijikenda and 100% London. Her favourite author is Aminatta Forna; her favourite musicians are John Holt and Mbilia Bel. She believes that literature and music are as essential to life as food and water. She loves writing, especially the process of crafting imaginary lives and family histories. Her other loves are teaching A Level Literature and raising her two teenage sons.

In 2016/2017 she participated in the Almasi League Writers Programme led by Courttia Newland.
