JD Howse

JD Howse is a writer who works across poetry, fiction, memoir, collages, and film. He graduated with Distinction from Royal Holloway, University of London with an MA in Creative Writing, and works as a Senior Producer for a publishing company. He is the curator of the online magazine PermeableBarrier.com, and previously ran Theatre of Failure, a new writing night for LGBT+ poets. His writing has appeared in magazines, journals, and anthologies including Osmosis, Spam, Datableed, Rewilding, and A Queer Anthology of Sickness. His poetry collections, artist’s books, and pamphlets include Just Meat Not God (2022), Noises Again (2022), and This Is A Dagger (2023). He has been described by the poet CAConrad as “a terrifying genius at work” and by scholar Prudence Bussey-Chamberlain as “a writer who blisters and makes meat of a reader.”
